Yesterday Mark Shuttleworth delivered a powerful Keynote address to the attendees of the Ubuntu Developer Summit (UDS) which is currently taking place in Budapest, Hungary. The UDS will be held from 9th to 11th. The big step taken in Ubuntu 11.04 Natty in using Unity was discussed.

Goal

Mark belives in achieving a high goal of   “…200 million users of Ubuntu in 4 years“. He goes to saying “We’re not playing a game for developers hearts and minds – we’re playing a game for the worlds hearts and minds, and to achieve that we’re going to have to play by a new set of rules.”

Mark stress on the values governing the making of Ubuntu. In an honest way Mark a says that he had ‘failed as a leader’ on the issue of Contributor Software agreements specifically.

He asks for a open minded discussion on the new transition of Ubuntu and contributing in very possible way. And Oneiric is pronounced as ōˈnīrik (O-nae-ric)
