The VideoLAN project was started some where around September 2010 by the developers of VLC to create a semi-professional video editing software. The main idea behind the project is to provide a ease to use interface. VLMC has the basic features like import videos, re-size, cut sections, add effects, play in real time and more.
Since then, the software had many fixes and changes. Although it has some format errors and output failures, the project is still progressing well.
Installtion
You can install VLMC in Ubuntu 11.04, 10. 10 and 10.04. The PPA has been updated and has fixed many errors.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/vlmc
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vlmc
Let’s hope VLMC will become a successful software to use software in the future.
