Xnoise is a lightweight media player for Ubuntu which supports a wide variety of media formats. The main feature of this player is the ability to arrange audio and video files in a list altogether and played in order. This files can be rearranged at any time using drag and drop.
The Media Browser contains all available media in a hierarchical tree structure of available metadata. It ‘s easy to find a single song, artist or album from this tree just by entering a search term. Xnoise integrates with the new Ubuntu sound Menu in 11.04 Natty and 10.10 Maverick.
New Xnoise version 0.1.15 comes with several important bug fixes and new features. To install Xnoise 0.1.15 in Ubuntu 11.04 Natty or 10.10 Maverick, simply start the Terminal and type:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shkn/xnoise
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xnoise xnoise-plugins-core
