Many times you may come across situation where you have to translate a context or a translate a entire web. I usually come across Arabic forums with the need of translation. Anyways I use a translation extension in Firefox to translate.

But for those who don’t prefer to open Chrome or Firefox do to a online translation, the Google Chrome Desktop App is extremely useful. It has its fair share of ups and downs in terms of features.

It is simple to use. But it limits the user to translate without the internet and it lacks translating a entire web.

The app is a Java executable file, so you need Java installed run the App.

If you don’t have Java installed, open the terminal and type:

sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin

After that download the App from here
