The successor of 550D and latest member of the entry line Rebel series – Canon EOS 600D was announced by Canon on February 7. Canon didn’t forget to refine their best selling Rebel series since it was introduced back in August, 2003. It is expected to hit the market this April. At first look the Rebel T3i may look like a 550D with an articulated screen. But it is stuffed with many beginner friendly features which may have been borrowed from 60D. One of such feature is the ‘Creative Filters’.
‘Scene Intelligent Auto’ mode analyses the scene in front of the camera and automatically sets its exposure and other parameters. From the first use the camera tells that it is for beginners and has a ‘Feature Guide’ that displays brief explanations of each function on the camera.
The effective pixels and the processor remains unchanged as in 550D. May be Canon sticked on with the trusted technology which was a big success.
The HD video recording is simply amazing with full manual controls. ‘Video Snapshot’ mode borrowed from the camcorder series is new in Rebel series. The stereo mics too supports the video recording ability
