It has always been difficult for Gmail mobile web app users to find out an important mail in the over-flooded inbox. But this state changes with Priority Inbox. Priority Inbox automatically identifies your important mails so that you can get them as soon as you login. If you have already set up Priority Inbox in the desktop version of Gmail, then you can set Priority Inbox as your default inbox. To do so :

  • Open your Inbox, press Menu , and touch More > Settings.
  • Check Priority Inbox.

To set the priority of your mails, just Press Menu and select the Mark important / Mark not important. Important messages are marked with a yellow icon.

Priority Inbox works in most mobile browsers that support HTML5, such as devices running Android 1.5+ and iOS 3+. To setup the desktop version of priority Inbox click here.
