Previous I had written a small guide to help Ubuntu users to install nVIDIA Display Driver 260.19.36. But one of our readers “Nuke” request to write a article on installing nVIDIA Driver 260.19.29. For what it’s worth, here is a simple guide for all ubuntu users to install the graphics driver.
1. Open the terminal (Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal)
2. Copy the following codes and paste it in the terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current nvidia-current-modaliases nvidia-settings
After the installation go to System -> Administration -> Additional Drivers and activate the current Nvidia driver if you encounter any problem.
