Run multiple Operating Systems within Ubuntu using VirtualBox

VirtualBox is a open source, feature rich, high performance virtualization software. It allows you to run an unmodified operating system with all of its installed software to run on top of your existing operating system. With VirtualBox you can run any OS versions of Windows, Mac or Linux.

With VirtualBox in Ubuntu you can switch to Windows or any other Linux distros in real time or even Mac when you feel to do so. Your system disk space is the only constraint in such situations. If you have few hundred GB’s of free space then run multiple OS within your Ubuntu.

The latest VirtualBox (version 4.0.2) is now available. To install VirtualBox 4.0.2 on Ubuntu simply open a terminal and type:

chmod +x
