Well GBrainy is not something new to talk about, it comes with Ubuntu 10.4, 10.10 and hopefully in the new Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal. It is ideal for training the mind through some puzzles and to play in the office during working hours (Seriously Don’t). To take some lines from Gbrainy….
“…gbrainy is a platform to train memory, arithmetical and logical capabilities with many sorts of different exercises of different
difficulty levels… It includes Logic Puzzles, Mental Calculation, Memory Trainers and Verbal analogies…”
gBrainy version 1.6.0 was released just few days back. It fixes many bugs and add new translation along with 7 new logic games and 16 new verbal analogies.
To install or update gbrainy 1.6.0 on Ubuntu 10.10, open terminal and type:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ferramroberto/maverick sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gbrainy
and in Ubuntu 10.04
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ferramroberto/linuxfreedomlucid sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gbrainy
Alternatively you can download the .debs for Ubuntu 10.10 and Ubuntu 10.04
