Ofris an alternative for Deep Freeze in Ubuntu. In simple words it restores all your previous setting as it was. This is an essential tool, especially for those who administer cybercafes. This  program freezes all the changes you have made in your system. Both, the modification of files and the settings disappear when you restart the computer.

After applying the function “freeze”, you can make changes to your machine, test potentially dangerous software and perform the maneuvers you want, because when you restart the system everything will be as it was before applying “freeze”.

Although it is an executable program from the terminal it is very easy to use. It can be used to freeze not only the system but a particular user as well.

To install in Ubuntu 10.10 / 10.04 / 9.04, open the terminal and type:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tldm217/tahutek.net
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ofris-en

In order to use Ofris, type  ofris-en in the terminal

If find difficulties in installing or using Ofris, please let me know.
