Ubuntu Tweak 0.5.14 Released with Improved PPA Purge

Ubuntu Tweak 0.5.14 s the latest bug fix release of the Ubuntu Tweak 0.5.x series. With PPA purge, you can downgrade all GNOME 3 related packages with a few clicks. This makes it simple for you to try out GNOME 3 in your Ubuntu 11.04 Natty and revert back to your original Natty packages.

With previous version of Ubuntu Tweak downgrading to original packages was impossible. But this version will show error and stop if packages can’t be downgraded. You can follow the error message, then use “sudo apt-get remove pkg-name” to fix it and PPA purge will be success. So Ubuntu Tweak 0.5.14 is a worth installation.

To install Ubuntu Tweak 0.5.14 (stable PPA), open Terminal and type:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tualatrix/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-tweak
