How to Install Chrome 11 Beta in Ubuntu 10.10 / 10.04

Chrome 11 beta released with many fascinating like speech to text recognition, GPU acceleration, new chrome icon and many more. Although I have written a detailed post on features in chrome 11, I would like point some of them:

  • HTML5 Speech to Text Recognition
  • GPU-accelerated 3D CSS
  • The brand new shiny Chrome icon

Installation

Open the terminal a pate the following codes to install Chrome 11 in Ubuntu 11.04 / 10.10 / 10.04:

sudo echo "deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable non-free main" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo -s
wget -q -O - https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub | apt-key add -
apt-get update
sudo apt-get install google-chrome-beta
You can also install in Windows and Mac @ http://www.google.com/intl/en/landing/chrome/beta/
