Hardly two months! The Ubuntu developers have initiated the 6 month cycle with the release of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Pangolin Precise. Unlike the former LTS release Pangolin comes with extended 5 years support. It will also be the first Ubuntu release to target a 750 MB ISO image, in other words it wont fit in a standard disc.
