Install Ubuntu Tweak 0.5.9 in Ubuntu 10.10 / 11.04

The development team of Ubuntu Tweak have released a the new version 0.5.9 just few hours ago. It brings many new bug fixes and adds full support for Natty Narwhal Ubuntu 11:04. It is still in development for the new Linux Mint 10.

For those not familiar with Ubuntu Tweak is an application to configure Ubuntu so easy for everyone. It provides many useful options for the system and the desktop that are not available in the default environment

It has many cool new features, some of them are:

1. You can shift desktop with the mouse scroll (Open Ubuntu Tweak desktop -> Compiz Settings -> Enable workspace switching with mouse wheel)

2. It has integrated the ability to change the user name directly from desktop -> GNOME setting -> Me Menu Setting

3. Updated the script ” Compress PDF

4. Has new updated the list of the PPA

To install / upgrade Ubuntu Tweak 0.5.9 on Ubuntu 11:04 / 10:10 / 10:04 / 9:10, just open a terminal and type the following:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tualatrix/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-tweak
