Opera 11 goes final with cool stuffs as tab stacking, visual mouse gestures, performance improvements, memory issue fixes and tons more. Everything from loading web pages to opening tabs is optimized to happen almost instantly in the new version.

1. Extension Support

This was a feature which opera had lacked compared to the other browsers. The extensions are simple to use, once installed you can access the extensions from the extention page ( press Ctrl+Alt+E to open this page) from where you disable or uninstall the extention. The extensions will now run on secure sites (HTTPS) by default. You can get the extentions form https://addons.opera.com/

2. Tab Stacking and other Tab Functions

Tab Stacking:

This is totally new in Opera, designed to manage a lot of tabs. Tab stacking allows to group multiple tabs under one tab. Dragging one tab over another allows you to create groups of tabs which can then be extended with just one click. Hovering over the stack gives you a visual outlook of what’s inside. Here is video showing how to use ‘Tab Stacking’.

Pinned Tabs:

The “Locked Tab” feature is improved and renamed to Pin Tab. Pinned tabs take up minimal space and automatically move to the left of other tabs to make them easy to find. To pin a tab just right-click on tab and select “Pin Tab” from the menu. This pins it and prevents it from being closed by accident. To unpin a tab, right-click on the tab and then uncheck “Pin Tab” in the menu.

3. Visual Mouse Gestures

Mouse gestures is another unique feature Opera brings out, although it was first introduced in Opera 5.1, the new opera comes with a visual guide to the mouse gestures. For the visual guide to mouse gestures, simply hold the right mouse button.

4. Address field

The new improved address field makes it easier to stay safe on the Web. It provides more security information to help you stay safe when browsing, just click the badge for the website to see security information about the site you are visiting. Clicking on the badge provides an easy overview of the potentially more complex security state of the current web page.

5. Auto-Update

It has a improved auto-update which makes it easier to keep in check of the lastet updates for your extentions.
